FLUENT VENTURES

Role Description

Chief of Agents & Head of Growth

Fund Investing GTM, Platform, and Capital Formation

The Role

Fluent Ventures is a global early-stage venture fund built on a geographic arbitrage thesis: backing proven business models adapted for underserved markets across Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, MENA, South Asia, and select developed markets. We are about to start raising Fund II.

We are hiring a Chief of Agents & Head of Growth to own Fluent's go-to-market engine. This is not an investing role. It is not a pure investor relations role. It is not a marketing role. It is the person who builds and runs the systems that put Fluent in front of the right founders, investors, LPs, journalists, and ecosystem partners, and converts that attention into capital raised, deal flow generated, and brand compounded. It is also the right hand person to our Managing Partner and Founder Alex Lazarow and will be involved with every part of the venture business.

The closest analogy is a Chief of Staff meets Head of Growth at a high-performing early stage tech company. The difference is that your "product" is a venture fund, your "customers" are founders and LPs, and your distribution channels are content, events, community, and relationships.

A note on pace: Fluent is a small team building something ambitious. We do not operate on a 9-to-5 schedule. The work is global, the time zones are many, and the best opportunities do not wait for Monday morning. This is not about grinding for the sake of it. It is about genuine passion for the mission and the kind of ownership where you think about Fluent on a weekend because you want to, not because someone told you to. If that sounds exhausting, this is not the right fit. If it sounds energizing, keep reading.

Why This Role Exists

Most VC firms at our stage split their investing, fundraising and non-investment work. That model has three problems: IR people optimize fundraising processes but rarely build a brand, and marketing hires at funds produce content that does not connect to the pipeline. Neither is working on their impact on investing.

Fluent needs someone who does all three, because for us, they are the same thing. Our playbook and systems put us in front of Founders. Our content generates LP interest. Our events generate deal flow and add value to our portfolio. Our podcast guests become Founder or LP prospects. Our thought leadership positions us for journalist coverage. These are not separate workstreams. They are one GTM engine, and this role owns it.

Fluent also operates an AI agent infrastructure that automates much of the throughput work that traditional funds staff with people. This means the Chief of Staff & Head of Growth spends less time on manual CRM updates, report formatting, and data entry, and more time on creative strategy, relationship building, and campaign execution.
